Building on Solid Ground

Your foundation is the most important part of any structure. It supports everything above it and transfers that weight safely into the ground. A poorly built foundation leads to cracked walls, stuck doors, and expensive repairs down the road. At DCM Temecula Concrete, we pour foundations and footings that meet or exceed building codes, giving your project a solid base that lasts for generations.

We handle foundation work for new home construction, room additions, garage builds, and commercial projects. Whether you need a simple slab foundation or a complex stem wall with grade beams and pier footings, our team has the experience to get it right. We work with engineers, architects, and building inspectors to ensure your foundation passes inspection the first time.

Types of Foundations We Build

Different structures need different foundation types. The right choice depends on your building size, soil conditions, and local building codes. Here are the most common foundations we pour in Temecula:

  • Slab-on-grade foundations for single-story homes and garages
  • Stem wall foundations with concrete footings and block or concrete walls
  • Continuous footings that support exterior and load-bearing walls
  • Pier and grade beam systems for hillside or challenging soil conditions
  • Column footings for posts, poles, and structural supports
  • Crawl space foundations with perimeter walls and interior piers

Each foundation type has specific depth, width, and reinforcement requirements set by building codes. We follow engineering plans exactly and document everything for the building inspector.

Our Foundation Installation Process

Foundation work starts with site evaluation and planning. We review soil reports and engineering plans to understand what the ground can support and how deep footings need to go. Excavation comes next, removing soil to reach solid, undisturbed ground that can bear the structural load.

We dig trenches for footings to the specified depth and width, making sure the bottom is level and compacted. Rebar cages go in first, tied together according to the engineering plans. This steel reinforcement is what gives concrete its tensile strength and prevents cracking under load. Forms get set to control the concrete shape, and we call for inspection before pouring. Once approved, we pour high-strength concrete mix and vibrate it to remove air pockets.

After the footings cure, we build stem walls or pour grade beams as needed. The foundation must cure for several days before framing can begin. Need other concrete work? We also install concrete slabs and retaining walls for complete site development.

Why Foundation Quality Matters

You cannot see your foundation once the building is complete, but it affects every part of your structure. A level foundation means level floors and walls that stay straight. Proper depth and reinforcement prevent settling and cracking. Good drainage design keeps water away from the foundation, which protects it from erosion and moisture damage. Cutting corners on foundation work always costs more to fix later, so we do it right from the start.
